Pisgah Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church was established in 1796 and has continually served the southwestern part of Gaston County throughout her over 200 year history.  The Associate Reformed Presbyterian denomination may be new to some people, but it has a long and rich Christian heritage.  The denomination represents a union between the Associate Presbyterian Church and the Reformed Presbyterian Church in 1782.  The union brought together two Scottish Presbyterian traditions which have been active in our nation since the early 1700's.
