 | the committee is the arm of the church which reaches out to the community and the world,
receiving new members and caring for them as they become a part of the church fellowship. |
 | this committee shall work to direct the Evangelistic efforts of the congregation and
watching over and caring for those brought into the fellowship. |
 | the committee will plan and oversee the church visitation program of new members, of
visitors who attend church services, and encourage members to visit the sick and comfort
the bereaved. |
 | the committee will encourage church attendance by extending a personal welcome to attend
worship services and also encourage inactive members to return into the fellowship of
Christian believers. |
 | the committee will encourage new members as they are assimilated into the work of the
church, to introduce them to programs and activities of the church body. |
 | the committee will oversee the church visitation program from the undershepherd rosters
and encourage individual visitation by church members. |
 | the committee will also advertise special services and special programs of the church
and the denominational publications and to generally promote an atmosphere for each member
to be used as an instrument in extending God's kingdom. |
